Dodgy takeaway - please calm me down

I’ve been SO careful with what I eat in pregnancy. Ordered takeout from a proper restaurant. My chicken burger had a huge raw bit and the cheese had mould on - I don’t think I ate any of the uncooked bits and once I saw the pink meat I threw it all away. I now feel terrified I have hurt my baby!

Oh poor you,how upsetting & frightening. Poultry Food poisoning is the incubation for food poisoning caused by campylobacter is usually between two and five days

I had cambylacter and had to go to A&E and I’ll spare You the details - but you will know you have it

If you’re ill call The mw and or Gp. Or out if hours GP

You should report online to your LA environmental health dept

Apologies for really badly constructed sentence

Speak to your mw in the morning for reassurance. Some cultures do carry on eating rare/raw meat and fish when pregnant. Try not to panic too much, drink plenty of water to keep hydrated should you actually get food poisoning. I think that’s the main worry.

Thank you. I read that listeria can cause blindness and paralysis in babies or stillbirth. Logically I know it’s very unlikely but I can’t stop worrying! Already reported to the FSA.

Sad
