Found out we’re having a baby boy and obviously the only names we liked are girls so I’d love to hear anyone’s boy names. Partners surname is a colour so anything colour related is out 😂

I’ll contribute when we’ve thought of some.. the only name we both like at the moment is Harry

Thanks so much @HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee - love some of those suggestions thank you!
No family names we’d want to use tbh, both our dads & our grandads names are all a bit too old fashioned for our liking (not traditional, just old fashioned and not ones you’d ever hear now!)

Thank you

Heritage, are you Irish, Scottish, welsh,English? Names from those groups?
Yes I like Niall too

It’s always a laugh picking baby names as inevitably you’ll like something and other Partner will loathe it as it reminds of a school mate or some such

HappyDaze90 · 07/12/2020 21:54

Me and partner are having a nightmare with this. Every name I suggest, he hates because someone he knew with that name was a twat 😂 And every name he suggests I don’t like because it reminds me of something... such as Arlo- The Good Dinosaur 😂

Some of my faves are-
• Ezra (think this is my top at the moment)
• Oliver
• Oscar
• Greysen
• Jakob
• Nolan

Hope you find the perfect name soon 💕

@HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee sorry didn’t answer that part, we’re both English! Ha you’ve hit the nail on the head, I suggest and he hates and he suggests and I hate! Thankfully we’ve got 20 weeks to decide! X

Thank you @HappyDaze90, some great names there! Oh yeah I suggested a name earlier and got “nah I went to school with a *** & he was a twat” 😂

I know you’ll suggest an innocuous name and it’s a whole story of why Josh is the name of Satan spawn and what Josh did to get that reputation

readyforroundtwo · 07/12/2020 22:53

@Littlebee1990 I'm having this issue with names as well but I also like Harry Grin

MrsMarrio · 08/12/2020 13:47

From 6 weeks I only had one name stuck in my head and didn't budge, luckily it was a boy (I knew it) but here's some of DH suggestions:

Ezra
Keir
Enzo
Oscar
Harry
Jake
Roman
Elliott

Good luck and congratulations!

MrsMarrio · 08/12/2020 13:50

@HappyDaze90 I work with primary school kids and DH works with 16-25yo so we always knew one 'name suggestion' we hated because they reminded us of a little shit.

StaceImpactWfan · 08/12/2020 15:49

On our list if baby was a boy was

Gabriel (what baby would have been named)
Gideon
Jakobi
Nikolai

There's a baby name tinder app if you want some fun and have nowhere to start! You and your partner both sign up and put in the sex then "swipe" the ones you like and it tells you when you get matches. Lots of weird american names but all the classics too!
