Is there a 'best' time to start antenatal classes? I am 23 weeks and I am sarting mine tomorrow - some books I have read said you should start them around 30 weeks but this will be in the run up to Xmas for me and I'll have enough to do with working FT and feeding 10 on Xmas day.

Is 23 weeks to early? Will i forget all they tell me or is this an okay time to start?

The thing you'll find is most of the women there will be due long before you. If you're hoping to make 'birthing/coffe morning buddies' it's unlikely you'll be due around the same time. I started with DD when I was about 32 weeks & most of us were due within a 4 week span but as the catchment area for the class was pretty large I only stayed in touch with one girl.

I'm not too fussed about making friends - got plenty that have kids/babies and my best friend is due two weeks before me

Just don't want to be going and look silly cos not far gone enough! The only prob is that the course is 3 wks and then there is a break til the next one starts which will be close to Xmas...
