Don’t FEEL pregnant anymore..

Somehow posted this to wrong thread so thank you for redirecting me!

I am currently 15 weeks pregnant after a very long IVF journey with much heartache along the way. This is the furthest we’ve reached. During the first trimester, I displayed textbooks symptoms- nausea, sickness, vertigo, tiredness, sore (massive!) boobs, bloating etc etc. Had a fab 7 and 12 week scan, and I’ve very much been looking forward to the “wonderful”, “energy-filled”, “glowing” second trimester, at the start of which, symptoms felt much the same as the first.

But two nights ago, overnight, all symptoms stopped really suddenly, and somehow, I don’t FEEL pregnant anymore and I’m freaking out a bit. Like, not a jot of symptoms. Even my belly and boobs look and feel normal.

I realise I’m probably ridiculous, but next midwife appt isn’t until 18th and 20 week scan isn’t until Jan.

Is this normal, or should I be concerned?

I've had no symptoms at all and I'm 17 weeks pregnant

Hi OP - congratulations! 15 weeks is when my sickness went away and honestly, until you start getting those little flutters in your tummy, you may not 'feel' pregnant for a little while. You're in the hormonal 'sweet spot' - try and relax and start planning for your babies arrival. I felt exactly the same and stated getting period type pains but no bleeding. Luckily for me he started kicking at 16-17 weeks so that was really reassuring but honestly, the odds are that baby is growing steadily and your body is adjusting as pregnant bodies do. Daffodil

I felt the same at 15 weeks, I was also worried, but it just felt like the dire exhaustion, nausea and general grottiness of the first trimester had passed.

I still felt grotty from time to time in my second trimester (which I put down to hormone surges). But in the main I felt normal... Until I felt enormous.

I’m the same 17 weeks and no symptoms at all ! Although after two horrendous pregnancies with hyperenesis and being super ill, at the start I was so anxious, now I am loving it!!! Haha. I have a home Doppler tho which I do find extremely reassuring. I can get the heartbeat pretty much instantly now and it helps my anxiety massively altho I know they’re not for everyone! Xxx

Normal. I didn't tell family that I was pregnant till 20 weeks (with good reason) and I felt that I was lying to them. Did get symptoms in the 3rd trimester again. Second trimester is "the easiest" for many people due to lack of/less symptoms. Enjoy it while you can and congratulations!

A pregnancy test only tells you whether the pregnancy hormone is in your body, so it will no doubt come back positive. It won’t tell you a thing about the status of the pregnant.

OP - I’m sure all is just fine, this is absolutely within the realms of normal. Flowers for you.

lovescaca · 07/12/2020 02:37

Yeh, but if it's still a nice dark line then it should put ur mind at ease x

That hg levels are still high

At around this time its normal your symptoms lesson or go completely. Im 17 weeks at the minute and have none at all. The 2nd trimester is said to be the easiest, enjoy it and relax.

I was feeling like this almost a year ago. Very longed for ivf pregnancy too. I think from around 14-18 weeks I felt great. I started pregnancy yoga and felt like a fraud. Try to enjoy this part. Tiredness suddenly hit me like a bus at 18 weeks but I also started to feel movement which was reassuring.

Nitflux · 07/12/2020 03:01

I’m 26 weeks now and felt exactly like you at 18 weeks. I emailed my nurse and asked a couple of friends if it was ‘normal’. Totally normal! I’m sure all is fine but always worth a quick call / email / however you contact them to put your mind at rest. My boobs were so sensitive first trimester and I couldn’t wear anything over my belly; that all stopped in second trimester which made me question if everything was ok. It was - and is - luckily. Huge congrats, by the way! X

I'm 29 weeks now and had the same thing at 15-18 weeks! They say 2nd trimester is meant to be easy but the lack of symptoms worried me so much I couldn't enjoy it at all!! At least in the first trimester you feel crap so you know something is "happening", then from 18-20 weeks you start feeling movement, but in between was a bit terrifying!

mum2bin2021 · 28/12/2020 15:35

OP - any updates - is all well, have you felt any kicks? X
