When to refer to maternity team?

Hi everyone. I got my BFP 6 days ago on 14DPO. My local trust operates a self referral system to the maternity team online. When should I do the referral?

Basically I have had two chemicals in the last 6 months. The first one I’m unsure of how long it lasted as I was straight off the pill without a period, and the secondone was just a few days after the BFP. I’m worried I’ll refer myself and start bleeding again. I did anther clear blue digital this morning and it’s still saying 2-3 weeks, but I keep getting intermittent painful cramps which scares the crap out of me everytime they start. Thanks for any advice x

Normally between 6 and 7 weeks I'd say. I rang about 6.5 weeks this time and they said thats long enough to be accepted.

Yeah about 6 weeks I filled in the self referral form both times and was given a booking in appointment between 8-9 weeks.

Ah ok. I might give it another week or until I get the 3+ weeks on the clear blue digital. Can I ask you guys did you have cramping early on. The cramping comes and goes and varies from very mild to quite painful. Sorry if TMI but also very wet down there. I keep thinking Iv started bleeding but it’s just thin milky CM. No sickness or anything just slightly tender boobs x

Hi @sohe congrats on your BFP! I'm 5+3 and I've had intermittent cramping since I felt what I think were implantation cramps at 7dpo. It's pretty mild, but every so often it feels very sharp and then wears off. Seems to be ok from what I've seen in other threads, so keeping everything crossed for you. Also, I self referred maternity team the day after my BFP (think I was over excited!) which was 15dpo and they were happy to accept and book me in.

Sounds normal to me OP :-)

The cramping and wetness is all normal- I was convinced I was getting my period/miscarrying constantly for the first few weeks!

My referral was accepted at 4 weeks.
