Im sorry to hear about your previous miscarriages. It's hard to be sure here as the first response tests are extremely sensitive and detect a small amount of HCG. The other tests need higher HCG levels to get a decent line., so that may be why the line is fainter. The only way you would know for sure, if your hcg was dropping would be to take the same test at the same time each day after eating/ drinking the same amount. I would get another first response test and test again tomorrow with the first urine after you wake up. Using different tests and testing all the time will send you crazy. Good luck and I hope this one is your rainbow baby 🤞🏻

tinkerbell999 · 06/12/2020 08:53

Thanks I'm going to get a first response today I was so happy as never had lines like that on a first response thought it must be a good sign that was 4 days ago then on other cheapy posted 2 days ago got lines and then this one I've not got a good feeling about it af is due tomorrow so would of thought that 25mlu ones would of detected it xx

If your period isn’t due yet it’s still very early days. I would stick to one brand of test and always test first thing to get an accurate idea of what’s going on.

I just got a very faint line on a first response but I’m 5 days away from my period due date. With my last pregnancy I didn’t get a strong line on a test until the day my period was due to end. It’s different for everyone but a line is a line ☺️

tinkerbell999 · 06/12/2020 11:59

Just seems like it must of dropped very rapidly if it has as 2 days ago I got lines on a cheapy so strange i just would of thought 4 days after the good first response lines cheapies would be stronger .. but faintest of lines 🤷‍♀️ will get some more tests later and see what they say af is due tomorrow x

Unfortunately I've had that a few times, and it's been a chemical pregnancy Sad

tinkerbell999 · 06/12/2020 12:11

I've had 2 miscarriages at 10 weeks and one at 6 plus weeks and since then it's been nothing but chemicals positives that never got any brighter and just faded away that's why I thought this time was the one 😪 2 days ago strong positive pretty much nothing ! So I've had 8 losses in total now it's getting harder and harder each time I've had every test going and no reason for them I do have thyroid problems but it's controlled and I've got two other children breaking me each time this happens done even know if I should get a first response or just wait to bleed it's expensive to get a faint positive and watch it fade x

OP posts:
HavelockVetinari · 06/12/2020 13:22

I'm so sorry, it's shit isn't it? Flowers

I've had 8 rounds of IVF and have miscarried 6 times, it doesn't seem to get easier, just harder each time Sad

tinkerbell999 · 06/12/2020 13:27

So sorry to hear that 😪 just makes you feel useless doesn't it just makes me feel desperate and bitter watching all the pregnant mums or women with babies I really hope things get better for you and us both really x

HavelockVetinari · 06/12/2020 13:31

Amen to that

Tempusfudgeit · 06/12/2020 13:51

These were taken with the same fmu. Huge difference in line strength. Praying for you xx

tinkerbell999 · 06/12/2020 23:07

Hiya I had another loss I think I've tested negative completely on a test earlier wasent a first response test I'm due tomorrow so just waiting to bleed now ☹️ how many times do I have to go through this month after month x

Mrsi2020 · 07/12/2020 00:01

I hope it’s better tomorrow :(

I had 5 mc’s and this time I took 75mg aspirin a day and I am now 17 weeks preg. I was sent to consultant who said I did the right thing and doubled the dose for the rest of my pregnancy! Try it next month if this month isn’t your month xxx

2020wish · 07/12/2020 02:08

Sorry to hear about ur losses. Fingers crossed all is still ok.
I had 3 MC in a row and ended up taking 150mg aspirin at night and I’m now 24 weeks pregnant. Midwife and consultant told me I done right thing :).

Cafeaulait27 · 07/12/2020 06:33

Interesting and encouraging about the aspirin @2020wish @Mrsi2020

I too have started taking 75mg aspirin as soon as I got the positive result. I have only had one pregnancy which ended in mc and I wondered if clotting had something to do with it (based on my research) because the baby was in the right place and had a heartbeat but it stopped developing. I thought maybe it was restricted blood flow not reaching it that caused the loss.

Obviously after one mc I haven’t had any investigations done, but I just wanted to do what I can to reduce the risk of mc again.

Should I increase my dose to 150mg?

Cafeaulait27 · 07/12/2020 06:37

@tinkerbell999 is it possible that you ovulated late? Maybe if you just wait a few days you might get a line on a regular test.

Are you taking aspirin? It seems to help so many people and there are no risks to mum or baby:

tinkerbell999 · 07/12/2020 06:50

Hi ladies I'm on asprin and progesterone pessaries (cyclogest ) twice daily vaginally and it's not done anything I've had blood clotting tests done lh surge tests karotyping thyroid checks I've had all the checks nhs will do they checked womb shape thickness etc all came back normal I think that's what makes it worse is that there is no reason or nothing to put right if you get me .. only thing I can think now is something called natural killer cells which they don't offer on nhs which is a autoimmune thing I had a positive from 9dpo so I don't think it's late ovulation I had good strong positives up till 3 days ago and then absolutely nothing and I'm due today so would of thought a normal test would of picked it up .. it's so frustrating why my body just can't hold on to them xx

2020wish · 07/12/2020 11:13

@Cafeaulait27 150mg daily is now the standard dose in the uk for recurrent MC. It use to be 75mg. Hope that hopes

@tinkerbell999 were u using the same test brand? Different brands have different line strength/line progression.

tinkerbell999 · 07/12/2020 17:15

No wasent same test was a cheap strip test and was barely visible I don't know if I'm still pregnant or not x

tinkerbell999 · 07/12/2020 19:05

This was the only test I had thismorning and that's all that's there today the day my period was due would of thought would of been really bright by today so probably another chemical x

Oh @tinkerbell999 I’m devastated for you ❤️
