Hi all I found out I was pregnant yesterday and I'm now having brown discharge, is this normal?

I’m in the exact same position, found out a week ago and now having light brown discharge, v concerned! Would love some reassurance that this might be normal!

Hello! I had the same experience, had brown discharge the day of and a few days after I got my bfp. Now 7+3 and still get the odd day of it here and there - from what I've read it's only an issue if you have pain and red bleeding! I have my booking appointment on Thursday so will mention it then but trying not to worry about it!

Light brown discharge could be implantation and it is also possible to have light spotting around period time. But heavy, period-like discharge needs checking.

It's now changed to a pale pinky colour

I had light brown discharge the day of and after my bfp in the pregnancy with my little girl and 3 days after bfp with this current pregnancy. I'm now 27 + 5. X

@Titch189 do you have any cramping?
Titch189 · 05/12/2020 18:35

@Olls88
I've got cramps on and off (similar to period cramps)

Same, I've had them for weeks, I rang the hospital, they told me not to worry unless it becomes bright red and heavier so I suppose best to try and stay positive. There seems to be lots of threads on here about light discharge being normal, hope you're ok xx

I'm trying to stay positive and not worry too much. Hope you're okay too xx

Just to add that I had pale brown and pale pink discharge last week (10 weeks yesterday) so paid for a private scan- all fine! And the woman said it was very normal.

Titch189 · 05/12/2020 20:12

My bleeding is now ranging from dark pink/ red but still only a small amount

I had a mc in October at 9 weeks, started getting brown discharge around 8 weeks which turned to red nearer 9 weeks.

I’ve been plenty of people say they had it checked out and they were fine, but it wasn’t for me.

I hope everything is ok for you guys but I would urge you to insist on a scan to check with your midwife or just by calling your hospital early pregnancy unit.

Bleeding in pregnancy should always be checked out abs never ignored. Hope things are ok for you!

Titch189 · 06/12/2020 10:12

@Cafeaulait27 Thankyou for your response, I got checked out yesterday and they think it's likely I've had a miscarriage, I've to repeat a test next week

Cafeaulait27 · 06/12/2020 11:41

@Titch189 oh no sorry to hear that. Have you been scanned? So sorry xx

Titch189 · 06/12/2020 17:17

@Cafeaulait27
No they said they don't tend to worry about baby at this stage and they can't scan me as I'm showing no signs of ectopic xx
