Hi

I wondered if anyone could help.

I had to visit the EPU today for sharp right sided lower abdominal pain.

Had an early scan and bloods. Tiny sac visible via internal scan and cyst on right ovary (causing the pain).

They took bloods too (will be repeated in 48 hours) anyway, they said HCG level consistent with being 6 weeks but need to make sure it doubles to be sure. Then they said "progesterone should be 25 or above for a viable pregnancy, yours is 80" 80?! Is that not way too high? I didn't think to ask when I was there but now I'm panicking as to what this could mean?! Does anyone know? Have experiences?

Thanks in advance x

At 4 weeks (14 dpo) my progesterone was 167 nmol/L (or 52 ng/mL)
It was also high but never had an issue so far (23 weeks now).
It's good if anything!
Don't worry :)

I mean it's good in the sense some people suffer from low progesterone and risks miscarrying, and actually need supplements.
