Light pink discharge 7 DPO, am I pregnant?

Hi everyone. This is my second cycle after a miscarriage at 9 weeks back in October. My cycles seem to be regular again, I had my first period exactly 30 days after my MC bleeding stopped which is bang on my cycle length.

I’m currently 7 days past ovulation and 7 days away from my next period. We’ve been trying a lot this month and I felt some pains in one side of my abdomen around ovulation, and then for the last few days I’ve had the below symptoms:

Tired
Nauseous (occasionally)
Weird dreams
Clumsy/dizzy
Milky thin discharge (no odour) quite a large amount

Then today I went to the loo and I have light pink discharge. Could it be implantation or is it too early? I didn’t get implantation bleeding until the day my period was supposed to start last time.

We haven’t had sex in the last few days so I know it isn’t from that... just wondering what’s going on as things seem a bit different to last time.

Thanks all ☺️

I see a faint line! It's probably super early and if you test again tomorrow morning it'll hopefully be darker!

Cafeaulait27 · 06/12/2020 10:50

Woohoo! It’s still very early as my period is 5 days away still, and I only had implantation bleeding start 2 days ago. I’m going to try and wait until my period is due on Friday and then test again with a normal cheapy test (pink dye one from waitrose).

I feel sort of excited and amazed my body has done this only 2 cycles after the mc, but I’m also very aware that so much can and does go wrong. I feel like it’s a good thing that I’m getting symptoms so early but who knows, already this feels very different to my last pregnancy.

@Naz2009 I wish you and your partner all the luck in the world, hope you get the second child you desire soon. I would really recommend going for fertility treatment.

@Cafeaulait27 yes no need to waste money and get a expensive test for Friday.
Our body's are totally amazing. From the experience of my friends I have learnt. Each pregnancy is different. I agree it's a very good sign you have all these symptoms early.
Go super mama
Like the previous person wrote. If you did another test. Your line will only get darker.

Thank you. I'm not sure I will ever go ahead and get myself checked out. Can't even say why. As I don't know the answer myself.

But you keep happy and look after yourself.
Hugs

@Naz2009 thank you. I hope it’ll be ok. I had a little dark red blood today (but I’m a bit constipated and sorry to say I was straining slight sorry TMI!) hope it’s not a bad sign. It’s day 4 of implantation bleeding and it’s mostly a small amount of very light brown.

It’s going to be a very long wait until Friday! 😫 I’m a nervous wreck, can’t concentrate on anything else right now. I hope and pray it works out this time. Xxx

@Cafeaulait27 please try and drink as much as you can throughout the day.
Feeling tired, dizzy and constipation can be signs of dehydration.
I know how you feel. Specially after your MC your bound to be anxious.
Relax and rest. It's easier said than done I know. I hope your daily work life etc allows you to put feet up throughout the day

Cafeaulait27 · 07/12/2020 22:33

Still brown discharge and foggy head today. Why does all this stuff have to be linked to blood? It’s so traumatic to look at/look for all the time. I’m really struggling to wait until Friday! Wish they would invent something so we could look at our babies developing all the time wherever we are. I hope mine is sticking in tight this time xx

Anyone else had implantation bleeding go on for 4 days? Xx

@Cafeaulait27 I've got no experience on implantation myself. Sorry I'm no help.
I suggest another pregnancy test. Your line was extremely faint at the weekend. You're only 3/4 days away from due date. Early detection test should give a accurate reading now. Once it's confirmed for sure. Call up your GP, explain to them what's going on.
You have PCOS perhaps they can offer you better care.

Cafeaulait27 · 09/12/2020 05:48

Thank you @Naz2009 I just did a normal test and got a negative and some red blood ☹️ Think I MHz be having a chemical... it’s all so cruel.

I’ll test again when my period is due but I feel like it’s unlikely now ☹️

Naz2009 · 09/12/2020 06:35

@Cafeaulait27 I'm so sorry.
A normal pregnancy test wouldn't pick it up so early.
Don't get yourself upset thinking it's a chemical. We assumed you could be pregnant it was never 100%.
Sorry I don't mean to upset you further but your early detection test also looked negative. If you hadn't mentioned a faint line I would never have seen it.
For all you know it could still be implantation bleeding. What do I know really.
Once again I'm so very sorry.

Cafeaulait27 · 09/12/2020 06:51

@Naz2009 a line is a line, it was faint but still a line which means I was producing hcg last week.

I’ll test again on Friday but I think definitely a very early mc now. Thanks

@Cafeaulait27 please look after yourself.
Take care and try not to stress.
This week has been tough and extremely long for you I know. Friday isn't faraway now.

Cafeaulait27 · 09/12/2020 10:05

Thank you. Here’s another pic of the original test. I think it shows up better in real life than in the photo. I’ll hold a tiny bit of hope until I test again on Friday but it’s not looking good now. Xxx

I have serious line eyes. First test is the early response from Sunday and the second is my waitrose own brand one that I did this morning. It’s definitely negative right?

Both look negative to me I'm afraid. I'm not sure that testing so early is being your right now, as it'll be so much more conclusive either way by the weekend, or when your period is due. A yes or a no will be a lot fairer to you than this constant ruler coaster of is there or isn't there a line.

Cafeaulait27 · 09/12/2020 14:51

@Popgoesthebubble ok thank you for replying... I know I don’t know why I am torturing myself.

In real life there is definitely a faint pink line on the FR early test, it’s very faint and I can see it on the photo but not as much.

I have just bought another FR like a mad woman to see if it’s darker or lighter than the last one. If it’s negative or lighter or not progressed since last time, I think I will have closure. We’ll see ☹️ Thank you xx

OP posts:
Cafeaulait27 · 09/12/2020 15:43

Well. I just did another FR and it’s negative. So that’s that. I guess it was a chemical/v early miscarriage.
Xxx

OP posts:
Naz2009 · 09/12/2020 17:45

@Cafeaulait27 not even a faint line this time with the FR test?

Naz2009 · 09/12/2020 17:54

@Cafeaulait27 after I adjusted my light on my phone I could see a faint line on the FR test
Nevertheless the Waitrose was clearly negative.
You should tell your GP of All the symptoms alongside the spotting and the FR test
Hope you're ok.

Cafeaulait27 · 09/12/2020 18:36

@Naz2009 nope nothing at all on the FR this time so it’s gone ☹️ So sad.

I have let my doctor know about the mc, she said to monitor the bleeding, if it doesn’t turn into proper period bleeding I have to do another test and may need to be scanned to make sure it’s not ectopic. I think it’s unlikely though now as if a FR can’t pick up a line when it’s so sensitive it must mean there’s nothing left.

Thank you for all your support xxx

@Cafeaulait27 I am so very sorry.
Please do not let this dishearten you.
You're an amazing strong women and your body is more powerful than you think.
Remember you will and can get pregnant and soon when the time is right. You will have your baby in your arms.
