it worries me.
I'd like another dc, but my first pregnancy was awful with depression (hormones I think) and hyperemesis.
If you have a bad pregnancy, are they always bad, or can the next one be lovely?

My first preg was fab - nothing more than a little bit of heartburn! But boy has this time round been different! Severe sickness up to 22 weeks, Carpul Tunnel Syndrome, achy legs, severe headaches etc! I reckon every preg is diff so I would say if you want another DC go for it - you never know, you could have a fabulous time! Best of luck

My first pregnancy was from hell. Morning sickness was realy bad I was taken into hospital and put on a drip because of dehydration. Then had about six months of horrid horrid heartburn. Swollen ankles, high blood pressure urine infections, thrush the lot.
My second pregnancy was a doddle. Not one day of sickness or heartburn. No swollen ankles, blood pressure fine all the way through. Easy peasy

My first pregnanc was awful contant cystitis, pre eclampsia just so tired and sick permantly oh god then the birth was awful forceps a bad time all round. Baby number two seven years later was a breeze came the day she was due i blossomed all the way and a easy birth as they go never fully dilated so had to go on my side but all went well. Loooking back i wish i enjoyed the pregnancy more but hey at the time it is such a worry, the first paves the way i now have four children and its great, enjoy honey just take a day at a time you will be fine. Best wishes

My first was awful - bad morning sickness (not hyperemesis, mind), constant heartburn, glucose problems, high bp, cramps, pre-eclampsia, piles, etc.

This one has been so much easier (aside from having ds to look after, so no relaxing afternoons on the sofa or in the bath). Hormones are all over the place this time, though - I burst into tears at the slightest thing.

I think the first was a huge sohck to the system, and then your body is a a bit more prepared for it next time round.

bunnyhunny, I am on pregnancy number 2. First pregnancy had Gest diabeste, low lying placenta, had to wear corset due to hps and back, high blood pressure, prtoien in wee, 38 week emergency section, post partum hamemorrage and severe PND.

Am now 30 weeks, been doing pretty much ok, placenta postition fine, a bit of back ache, glucose tolerance test all clear, feel much more relaxed too.

Tbh even if i had a awful pregnancy again would be worth it
