Hair dye/pregnancy

Hi
I’m about 5 weeks pregnant and got a hairdressers appointment for a colour tomorrow. My friend told me her hairdresser advised her not to colour her hair while she was pregnant.
Just wondered if anyone knows whether it’s safe or not.

Nha says its ok but that some women choose to wait until after the first trimester. Doesnt say its actually dangerous in the first trimester though. Bit ambiguous really

Have always had my done with both pregnancy never caused an issue, I know some lady's prefer to have foils so the dye is not on ur scalp

As a hairdresser I know the another reason to consider is your hair actually changes during pregnancy so colour doesn't always look right x
