Losing Mucus Plug 31 weeks

I am a bit worried here.

I am currently 31+2 weeks pregnant and this is my second pregnancy.
Last night I have noticed that I lost my mucus plug, a big chunk of it, and I continue to lose bits and pieces of it throughout the day.

I called the doctor and she doesn't seem too worried. All she told me was, if there is no blood or no contractions, I am in the clear..... but I keep thinking the worst!

Has this happened to anyone before?! Is labor near or am I just psyching myself out? If so, when should I begin to worry?

Your mucous plug can regrow, so I would just keep an eye on it but try not to panic!

Hey, I started losing mine a few weeks ago (currently 36 weeks) no concern was needed as it can regenerate (think that's the right word lol)
Easier said than done but try not to worry, if the midwife was concerned I'm sure shes have got you in for a check up/monitoring :) x

I am worried of course, thought labor was nearing its way. But I will keep you all updated on how it goes.
