Stopping low dose asprin

I'm currently 33 weeks and been told to stop taking asprin, however I feel super worried about this mainly due to thinking a clit could form in the umbilical cord 🤦‍♀️ doctors told me this is very unlikely but it doesn't stop me worrying!

When did any of you ladies stop taking Asprin?

26 weeks, as advised by midwives. No issues.

About 13 weeks, 3 days after I started taking it, because I was getting streaks of blood in my vomit. Been ok afaik. 27 weeks now.

It really seems to vary - my MW told me to take it right up until the end but I've read lots of other people saying they were told to stop around 30-38 weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm only 26 weeks so going to ask the question again at a later appointment - they asked at my 25 week appt if I was still taking it, I said yes and nothing more was said.

I've been on it since around 18 weeks or there abouts as a precaution due to previous high blood pressure towards the end of previous pregnancies. I asked my consultant a few weeks ago and she said I can stop taking them at 36 weeks, 35 weeks next week. It's very confusing not only because the high blood pressure didn't occur in my previous pregnancies until fairly late on around roughly 32 weeks+ can't remember! The bottles/packets and infomation leaflets AND Internet says don't take in the last 3 months of pregnancy! However obviously it's all down to each individual case and I trust the drs know what they're talking about. I totally get why you're worrying if you want more of an explanation I'd chase it up with your midwife or dr.

Also 🤭 the "clit" typo made me laugh, sorry x

I took it with my first for a blood clotting condition (which had caused 3 prev miscarriages). I stopped at 36 weeks as directed by my consultant, in case I needed a c section, and I was scared of a clot forming. Delivered at 37w5, no clotting issues. I donated the placenta to Anthony Nolan and they came to visit and say how healthy it was!
I am pregnant again and have been advised to stop at 36 weeks but that advice may change if I have to deliver earlier (having a c section this time) due to ICP.
