So I got the BFP last weekend and I am 5 1/2 weeks Grin

I am due to do my food shop on the weekend and at the moment, I am freaking out about what I can and can’t eat!

Any advice on quick easy weekday healthy dinners that I could try out? Also any healthy snack ideas would be good Smile

I haven’t had any morning sickness yet but the last couple of days I have felt a bit sick and feel like I have more saliva in my mouth than usual. So I’m not sure whether that means sickness is imminent or not... In preparation however, what do people recommend for foods to help settle their stomach?

Check nhs website for foods to avoid, ignore any other websites.
For sickness try ginger biscuits and staying hydrated

You may get no sickness. If you do eating small amounts of bland food helps but exactly what might need trial and error. Or you might simply know what you will / will not stomach like a sixth sense.

You can eat everything you would normally eat with the exception of anything unpasteurised (like patê and some cheeses. kombucha too but it wasnt a thing when I was pregnant.) and i'd lay off the tuna and only eat hard boiled eggs. Oh and you have to cook your meat properly. So no more delicious medium rare. More on the well done side.

Everything in moderation as well. If you have a craving that can be your treat for the day.

I have pastas and jacket potatoes for dinner and i snack on grapes apples. Love dipping things in hommus like carrots and pitta bread. And gingèr nuts have been my pregger craving that i cant ignore. Congrats and hope all is well x
