Hi, I'm 26 weeks and for the last few days I've noticed that when I get up in the morning I'm loosing watery discharge and it's almost like I'm wetting myself but I'm not? Has anybody else experienced this? Is it normal or should I get it checked out... ftm here so I'm not sure what to think Hmm

@tay21
Hello!
I'm 29 weeks and I've been getting a water substance (not urine!!) that makes my underwear very damp.
I checked with my midwife and she said that amniotic fluid would appear more like a gush, so she recommended wearing a panty line, and if you feel the need to change it within 1 hour then it's worth getting it checked.
For me, I don't need to change it for 3-4 hours, so it's evidently just normal for me. Hope that helps x

@cat709 Hi! Thanks for response, is this something you experience throughout the day? I seem to only experience it in the morning when I get up and it just gushes I guess you could say... and then throughout the day I don't experience anything like it... thinking maybe to call for some reassurance and piece of mind Confused

@tay21
It's not consistent throughout the day, I'll get it for 3 hours say, and it will be incredibly damp down there, especially if I've just been sitting on the sofa for the duration.
Can't hurt to ask your call line/midwife, but I wouldn't lose sleep over it :)

Im not as far along as you 17 weeks but i find my discharge is very watery sometimes. Throughout the day im obviously wiping after the loo but i find at night whenever ive been lying down the discharge has maybe kind of not been escaping and its kind of built up and when i get up alot seems to come out (sorry tmi) its not quite like im wetting myself but its far more than standard discharge i get throughout the day!

Hi OP,

I’ve got this and it’s always in the morning.
Last week my underwear was so damp as if I’d wet myself but I knew it wasn’t pee!

I went to triage and they used these horrible forceps on me to check if the womb was closed (which it was, thank god) and took a couple of swabs to check for infection.

I thought I was the only one, but seeing these posts made me relax a little

I have this since 16 weeks. It was shocking ar first and also worried it was amniotic fluid.
And mentioned it to MW she checked me and swabbed and all was normal.
It's just an awful lot of discharge...
In the morning It's like it accumulated at night so gushes out and damps everything.
And when i go for walks as well, need to change underwear after.
It's not great but hormones make the body go mad 😅

I also have this! 16+4 so glad to see it's normal 😂
