Hello..

This is one for the mums on here as I'm a bit worried and hoping for some advice/ what others have been through!

Had a csection 5 weeks ago and had light bleeding post birth...I was surprised as I was expecting it to be really heavy from what I had read. The consultant that discharged me said little to no bleeding was fine and only to let them know if it is overly heavy.

A couple of weeks ago I pretty much had no bleeding but now I've started to bleed again. It's not heavy but I'm wondering whether it's normal to go from the bleeding stopping to having bleeding again and a bit worried.

Also wondering if it could be a period as I'm combination feeding

Anyone with similar experience? Trying not to worry...

Mine became really light then started again but it wasn’t a section (not sure if that makes a difference) but also went just past 6 weeks too.
Worth giving the midwife unit a call to put your mind at ease. It’s a worrying enough time with a newborn as it is. Smile

And congratulations! Flowers

My DD is 6 months and I'm still bleeding. Get the occasional 1 or 2 days where I don't. Wasn't a section though don't know if that makes a difference.

@Cheesewine have you spoken to a Dr or midwife? I don’t think it usually lasts that long for most. X

@shahlalala yes, phoned months ago got a prescription for the pill. Phoned again, Dr basically said deal with it (not quite those words). Phoned again last week to see if I could speak to someone and they just re ordered my repeat prescription of the pill for me !

@Cheesewine that’s dreadful. Keep pushing them, you must be shattered and probably anaemic.
