@Slough123 both of mine were quite similar, I've had totally different pregnancy's though so was convinced this one was a girl until the 12 week scan then saw how similar it looked to my first boy and lost all hope it was a girl haha x

My husband is convinced its a boy because he researched nub theory

First picture shows very clear 'stacking' at the end of the nub. Baby boy

See with that new picture I'd say a very clear boy! It's definitely an art, not a science

Second picture looks boy with the stacking!

This just confirms that I have to find out at my 20 week scan. I cant take the suspense haha

I still think girl based on the skull. Nub theory was wrong for me! I think it's really an educated guess more than anything. When is your scan @Slough123

@Slough123 yes I'm going to find out. I don't normally. I'm thinking it's going to be a boy, but as said above, I don't get it right

I get it's just a bit of fun, but I think around 80% of 'gut instinct' guesses turn out to be true so that's more reliable

@littleharissa where have you got that statistic from? I think that's really untrue. Most people I know have been convinced they are having one and it turns out to be the other!

Really gut instinct is just 50/50 it's only going to be one or the other.

I don't remember exactly, I just remember researching it when I was pregnant as I was so convinced I was having a boy that I bought 'boy' clothes etc. And I did!

But a quick google brings up a few studies that agree

All the studies I've found, argue that a woman's instinct is no more accurate than flipping a coin. We will have to agree to disagree. I was so convinced I was having a girl, based on heartbeat, Chinese prediction, gut feeling and everyone telling me, I bought a pink baby grow in my labour bag.. but nope he is a boy!
