Early Labour?

Hi all, I'm 37+5 and wondering if what I'm experiencing is the very early stages of labour. FTM, so full of questions and anxiety.

Here's what I've been experiencing:
Period pains over the past week which have been more intense and frequent as the days go by.
An increased need to wee and poo. However, I've started to become constipated.
Carb-loading.
Feeling very emotional.
Nesting.

I’ve had the same for the past week and I’m now 38+1. Still no sign yet & midwife has said this can continue for another couple of weeks.

Congratulations! Did things suddenly happen very quickly? I’m 38 weeks and keep thinking every little thing could be a sign of early labour, but I think I’m probably imaging it! DS1 arrived at 41 + 2 but I was induced, so no idea when this one will arrive!

I started getting contractions at 5am and he was born 12 hours later.

According to the midwives, he was very quick to progress!

Thank you! We're on a ward now and little one is fast asleep. Hoping I can switch my brain off and sleep as well, haha.
