Hi I’ve not had a period since 20th October it says I’m 15 days late I’ve took a test it says negative but I’m on prescription medication what should I do please any advice is helpful

I take Atomoxetine (for adhd) and Citalopram (depression) but it says on that one if you think you're pregnant don't take so I've not taken it

When the best time for I do a test first thing in the morning ? I've been reading some of these comments and some say the home test didn't show she was pregnant until she was 4 months is that possible.

@Mimi100 Hi! I was taking citalopram when I got pregnant, and it's true that it's not ideal, but you need to talk to your GP and come off gradually, for your own health. The medicine won't harm your baby, but can cause withdrawal symptoms in them if they're born when you're still taking it. Sorry if I'm telling you something you you already know.

You wouldn't share a blood stream with the baby if you were pregnant until the placenta kicks in - around 10-12 weeks - so there isn't a need to stop your medication suddenly.

Are you on any hormonal contraception? If not, your period can be late because you ovulated late or didn't ovulate this cycle - it's entirely normal, but can cause worry of a period being "late" when it's actually just a long cycle. My longest was 85 days even though I wasn't pregnant!
