I think I lost my mucus plug this morning!! Is this what other people's looked like? Definitely think it looks like snot...

does it look like a whole plug or part of one? Not sure how big a whole one would be. (Pictures are of the same plug just different lighting)

How long did it take people to go in labour after having a plug like this?
I'm 38+2 🙂

My very old school midwife from my first pregnancy swore by eating pineapple with its core to get things moving. I'd had three sweeps by then and it did the trick!

Haha, I've definitely been nesting this evening- not got the vacuum out yet but running around like crazy cleaning and organising in between bouncing on my ball 🤪 have left about 100 post it's on my husbands desk for little jobs for him to do tomorrow 😅
And now to try and relax before bed... 😅

Just had this after I wiped.. do you think this + having pink spotting since yesterday is the bloody show?
As I heard that the bloody show can mean that labour is imminent, more so than loosing your plug?
Have got a slight feeling of pressure in my lower back, mostly when I'm sat down or on the toilet though. And loose BM again this evening, think I've gone to the loo about 5 times 😬

Nope, I'm going mad 🤦‍♀️ really thought things would be starting, but nothing yet. I'm still in nesting mode, did some hoovering today too and sipping RLT on my ball as I type! Still loose and frequent BM & a bit of pressure on my lower back but not much else going on! I'll probably end up being massively over now 😬

Oh goodness good luck how exciting, im jealous im not quite at half way have sl long still to go. I had no mucus plug come away before labour with my first. Hope baby comes soon keep us informed 😄

Thanks, I actually really thought things were kicking off this morning- I felt different when I woke up, a lot of pressure in my back and pelvis and felt like the baby was really low. Then I started having period like cramps and passed what I'm pretty sure was my bloody show. But then it all just kind of died off, although still feeling a lot of pressure so will see what happens 🤔

No baby yet I'm afraid! I woke up in the night on Friday night with definite contractions but they were quite mild. I went and bounced on my ball for a bit and had a snack and they died off. Haven't had anything at all since 😩 even the pressure in my back and pelvis has eased off. So I'm not sure if that has all amounted to nothing or if I'm just having a really long early stage of labour 🧐

It's annoying though because I was perfectly fine with waiting and knowing I may go past my due date before, but after having those signs I really got my hopes up thinking it would happen soon so now I feel a bit fed up and disappointed that I haven't gone into labour yet- even though I am only 39 weeks today 😣

I lost mine on Friday, due date was 03/12 so was thinking this is it! Still waiting impatiently 😅

@Katnissx awh waiting for labour is grim especially when your getting all the signs they are coming. He/she be here by christmas just think about that! Good luck let us know im intrigued now lol

Can you do some last minute tidying/shopping/buying/tv watching to pass the time? ☺️

@Katnissx when is your next hospital or midwife appointment? That is defo a bloody show but might be worth ringing maternity see if they want u to get checked. Also maybe wear a pad to make sure uv no leaking waters or anything

@nicciw87 I've got an appt on Wednesday. I have been wearing pads and pretty sure I'm not leaking and still happy with baby's movements so will probably wait until Wednesday if nothing happens first 😊 thank you though ☺️

@Willowfalls thank you for the suggestions, literally been doing all of this and think I have now done everything I possibly could do 🙈🤣 the freezer is stuffed full of meals, the house is deep cleaned, Christmas cards and presents are all sorted out etc. I have unfortunately been in nesting mode for the last couple of weeks so really haven't stopped haha. Finally felt like this weekend we have done everything that needed doing 🙈

Thank you @Katnissx :-) I have had some on Thursday evening and also in the night last night I did have more cramps and thought it was the start of something! But then woke up this morning and haven’t had much other than a few aches!

Feel like I’m obsessing a bit so just going to try and relax over the next few days!! X

@Emmibea18 ahh that sounds so similar to me! I had some Friday morning before my bloody show- which I actually felt come out during some cramping and I said to my DH then I think this might be it.. and then it all stopped 🙈 and then I woke up with definite mild contractions that night, but nothing at all since! I read up about false labour wondering if that's what's going on, but apparently it's not false labour if you have lost your plug so 🤷‍♀️
Yeah I've definitely been obsessing too, I need to chill 🙈 easier said than done though, I keep feeling really wired because I'm excited and it could happen soon and also just with the whole nesting feeling like I've got loads to do (even though I really don't at all lol).

@Katnissx I am 38+5. I have been googling any little niggle I get! I've been having lots of loose BMs too so I'm hoping my body is preparing but we will see. I'm trying to forget about it and just relax as I'm sure baby will come sooner when I am relaxed 🤞🏼

Don't think of it as false labour as that's such a negative connotation. Think of it as PRE labour. Something is definitely happening you just can't see it. It's all behind the scenes action helping to get baby one step closer to making his big entrance! It's all positive goings on! 😊
