Free online antenatal classes - any recommendations?

Hi everyone, first baby due early next year and feeling a bit unprepared with coronavirus restrictions cancelling a lot of support locally. Can anyone recommend any good free online antenatal classes or YouTube videos? I’ve booked a breastfeeding one through Blossom Antenatal but struggling to find much else about general baby care and parenting. I’ve paid for a private hypnobirthing course that cost quite a bit so couldn’t really afford to book an NCT course or similar too. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Your hospital may be running them for free online?

Hey @peachypetite thanks for your reply! We’ve had some good birth videos from the hospital trust but nothing for everything afterwards unfortunately which is the part in most scared of!

Hello, I've also been looking for classes and have found that there are some great resources on Youtube, both for what to expect for the postnatal period for mum (e.g.: and as well as how to care for a newborn (e.g.: and . Oh, an look on Youtube for Nurse Zabe. She's great and has lots of informative videos, including a couple of videos on what to expect in the first few days with a newborn. There are a lot of other informative videos on Youtube, depending on what you are looking for. Also, ask your midwife as she may know of local services or support groups. The midwifes in my area, for example, run a Youtube channel where they post videos about pregnancy, giving birth and infant feeding among other topics. They also run monthly live Q&A sessions on Facebook. Hope it helps! Smile

Check out the Baby Academy- they do a free 2 hour class on baby care which includes dressing, safe sleep, bathing, changing etc and we found it really helpful. Pretty sure they do a free breast feeding course as well x
