Trying on a long cycle

Hi,
This was the first month we were supposed to start trying after 2 failed pregnancies this year. After the second failure, I've had 4 pretty regular cycles of 30/31 days every single time sine July. I have been using OPK to track my cycles, and have had a very weird cycle this time; obviously the one we decided to try in!
I got sort of a positive (line was as dark as the control) on 22nd Nov last Sunday (CD17) which also worked in terms of my cycle, so we DTD that week. Just randomly I kept checking OPK and I got another very dark line today at CD25 (test line darker than the control within a minute). Now I am very confused Confused.
We would like to try this week as well to increase chances but my last miscarriage was when we conceived on a long cycle so I am very skeptical. Does anyone have positive stories when conceived on a long cycle? Also what could two positives in a month mean??

I have 36 day cycles and I have been ovulating very late. I had EWM on CD25, my husband and I had sex and, by the dates of the pregnancy, didn't actually conceive until 3 days later (CD28!). So it's possible to ovulate very late and get pregnant. I realised I'd been assuming my fertile window was earlier and probably missing it most months. I don't know how common this is but I would just go by your symptoms. If you have EWM or other signs of ovulation, go then.

I have 37 day cycles and ovulate around day 22. The month I got pregnant I had a very positive OPK on this day and I could tell by cervical mucus as well. A few days before I was getting lines that I was debating could have been the same colour as the control line but the OPK on day 22 was visably darker, so maybe you did really ovulate on the later day (CD25)

Thanks for the response! Do you mind me asking if it was a uncomplicated pregnancy. Somehow I have put in my mind that late ovulation would compromise my egg quality and therefore am very skeptical. Having read articles it feels there is no truth in this. But am looking for more personal experiences so to say.

I ovulate late and have longer cycles and one ended in early MC last December and now 22w4 pregnant with a (touch wood) nice easy pregnancy.
I Don't think it compromises your chances at all!
Good luck x

I am still in the midst of it (I'm 10 weeks pregnant) so I have no way of knowing yet, sorry! It's staying put for the time being, anyway...

I ovulate on day 21 of a 32(ish) day cycle and conceived in May after 3 months of trying. I'm now 31 weeks with no complications.
