12 Week Scan Question

I have my 12-14 week scan coming up still waiting for a letter to come through to get the dates.
My question is have any of you ladies been to your 12-14 week scan only to find out you were less weeks than you thought? For example you go to the dating scan thinking you are 12w3d but get told you are like 10w?

I don't have personal experience but I've got mine coming up soon and so have been reading about it and in some of the material it says that it's more common to find you're not as far along as you thought than the opposite way around.

I was 10+5 when I went for mine and they just rescheduled me for 2 weeks later as baby was too small for the measurements.

This and last babies scan I was earlier than thought. I apparently ovulate later than average but they just did quick scan as too early for nuchal and rescheduled to 13 weeks

I did! They had a little pause when doing measurements and then asked about my periods and I said they were irregular and they asked me to come back in a week or two, DD was fine at the next scans (still tiny at 2 though Smile)

I am very likely to have the same happen this time because I "should" 11 weeks pregnant atm but I don't think I am

I went to my 12 week scan thinking I was 12+3 and they put me back to 11+5 so nearly a week less than I thought xx

Yep - recently went to my dating scan and my LMP I'd have been 13+4 but I was actually only just 11. I was expecting it tbh as my cycles are irregular. It was ever so slightly too soon to do the nuchal fold measurement (cut off is 11+2 I think...?) but it was fine as the NHS booked me in for a week later and all was fine. I was happy enough as it meant I got to see baby twice in short succession! I was quite shocked at how much more 'baby' it looked at 12wks compared to 11wks too, so it was quite interesting!

I went for an early scan at 7 weeks, due to 3 previous losses plus I was having pains in my kidneys and they were concerned. Baby was measuring around 2 and a half weeks behind. Couldn't see anything on the screen apart from an empty sac. Had another scan 3 weeks later and there was a teeny tiny embryo in there. Unfortunately there wasn't a heartbeat and no heartbeat at my scan a week later. They weren't able to confirm it as another miscarriage for another 2 weeks but I started bleeding a few days after my scan. Didn't pass the Baby for a further 5 weeks though and needed the help of medication.
