Hey guys. 9 weeks tomorrow. What's everyone's symptoms? How are you all feeling? Be good to speak to someone the same gestation as me!

Im 9 weeks on tues 👋🏻 i am suffering so bad with acid reflux with bouts of sickness 😢 tiredness is real but apart from that nothing major, how about you?

ChloeR12 · 29/11/2020 21:11

@xoxochellexoxo hey! Well the last 3 weeks I was feeling so sick? 24/7... morning, all day and night. Couldn't eat because I felt so sick but I was starving so it made it worse! Constantly dizzy and out of breath! This week I feel slightly better to be honest... just still feel slightly picky with food etc, tired and can never sleep! Have you had an early scan yet? X

I am! Some days I feel mostly fine, others I’m feeling sick from the moment I get out of bed. I’m usually a big water drinker but I’m struggling to drink enough at the moment, water is one of the things that just thinking about it makes me gag. My midwife says morning sickness usually peaks around week 8 so hoping it will get better from here.

Blughbablugh · 29/11/2020 21:19

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow. I have had awful nausea and exhaustion. Today has been a good day. Limited nausea although I did start retching when making my dds beans on toast for lunch. I'm feeling much less exhausted than I have done in weeks. I think the placenta starts to take over at 9 weeks and things start to calm down a bit. I'm really hoping so as I don't want to feel like this cooking Christmas Dinner. I was exhausted with my dd but never really had nausea.

Luckyelephant1 · 29/11/2020 22:47

I'm 8+1 today so not too far behind, can I join? Was on the other big July 2021 thread but I think they've mostly all migrated to a FB group now, I'm not quite ready for that!

This is my first pregnancy. I've had brief bouts of nausea and food aversions but no actual throwing up. I have found I can only eat very specific things on some days, for example yesterday the only thing I could stomach to eat was McDonald's fries! Tiredness comes and goes but when it comes my head is like a foggy slow mess.

Are any of you getting strange twinges here and there? Every now and then I get a dullish ache around my ovaries (the side varies) or somewhere in my abdomen, occasionally even just below my boobs like a growing pain. It's not extreme enough to make me gasp or be 'in pain' and I have no bleeding, but I'm a bit concerned all the same. I know the uterus is expanding at this time and things will shift but equally when I read about ectopic symptoms for example, my mind does go into overdrive. When is a twinge something to be more concerned about??

ChloeR12 · 29/11/2020 23:17

@Luckyelephant1 yeah I get that I struggle to keep up on these posts as it is! Lol! Congratulations. This is my first also! How old are you may I ask? :)

The sickness is honestly terrible, it's not as bad as it was thank god but I'm awfully picky with food now which is so annoying as I was picky as it was, now I'm super limited on what I can eat! Lol

And no I haven't had twinges. I had them very early. But I just get like period cramp type feelings now. But it's all normal I guess our body is changing massively!

Hi ladies,

I am 9 weeks 6 days. Good to chat to some other expecting mums. had terrible nausea from week 6-9 but am now feeling a bit better and able to eat (and actually want to eat some food again). I can’t say I’m experiencing much other symptoms at the moment

fib11235 · 29/11/2020 23:32

Hello, I’m 39 and was 9 weeks today with my 1st. I’ve had constant fatigue with night time nausea for 3 weeks now but I assumed it was due to the oestrogen and progesterone I’m taking as this will be an ivf baby? Have started shopping in the black fri sales, don’t know if it’s too early but couldn’t help myself and now have a cot and pram waiting on delivery. Has anyone bought anything or are people waiting for the 12 week scan

Extraslice · 29/11/2020 23:41

Hi all 👋🏻 I am 8 +3 days. I have had horrible 24/7 nausea and exhaustion since 5 weeks. I think(??!) I may be on my way up so hoping what you say is true and it settles after 9 weeks. I can’t remember feeling this bad with my first. She has just finished her 14 days isolating and my god it has been hard work. All I want to do is sleep (except I also have insomnia 😂). Not getting an early scan, waiting until my 12 week which is on Christmas Eve 🙏🏻

Ruthio111 · 29/11/2020 23:48

@fib11235 I am also taking progesterone but I’m not sure if it has given me increased/different symptoms. Hopefully you won’t need it the whole time? This will be our second child so I don’t need to buy as many big items, glad you found some good sale deals. This is a pregnancy after a loss too though so I’m also still worried about everything. We have a scan tomorrow so 🤞.

Luckyelephant1 · 30/11/2020 00:11

@ChloeR12 I'm 31 how about you?

I've got my telephone booking in appointment with my midwife tomorrow so will chat to her about these twinges as well. Maybe I am actually getting boob growth pains because I just noticed my boobs are looking much bigger than usual! 😂 I also have an early scan and Harmony test booked for when I'm 10 weeks, I'm just wishing the next couple of weeks goes quickly! No date yet for NHS scan. My 12 weeks falls exactly on Boxing Day lol.

Hope everyone's sickness gets better soon x

fib11235 · 30/11/2020 00:16

Thanks @Ruthio111 that’s really helpful to know re the progesterone. Good luck with your scan tomorrow, I’m pleased to see there’s going to be lots of of reaching the 12 week mark at Xmas.

xoxochellexoxo · 30/11/2020 07:00

@ChloeR12 yes i had an early scan last week which was private and everything seems ok stong little heartbeat so iv managed to relax a little bit, my first midwife appointment is next week and then my first nhs scan is on christmas eve 🥰 the best present i could ever have been given this year especially after 14 months ttc my first. I hope this is me starting to feel better but i wont hold my breath just incase lol i was given medication for the acid reflux so fingers crossed its working 🤞🏻

AlexandraB2021 · 30/11/2020 08:14

Hi All! 9 weeks tomorrow also. And felt completely fine so far (fingers crossed), only issue being awful coccyx pain for the last 2 week.

@xoxochellexoxo you're so lucky to have your scan the day before Christmas (will you be doing the big reveal on Christmas day?)

I was hoping to have had my scan before Christmas so that I had peace of mind to share the news with family. How nice would it be to surprise people on Christmas day! Unfortunately my scan is 13+1 on 30th Dec!

xoxochellexoxo · 30/11/2020 11:24

@AlexandraB2021 i know when the lady told me christmas eve on the phone i thought oh my word thats amazing lol, yes we are planning to announce on christmas day and i am so looking forward to finally being able to talk about it and not hide my pregnancy

Blughbablugh · 30/11/2020 11:41

I've just had my booking in. My midwife is going to call me back this afternoon after she has booked my 12 week scan but seemed pretty hopeful it will be before Christmas.

Luckyelephant1 · 30/11/2020 12:53

@Blughbablugh was it via phone or in person?

ChloeR12 · 30/11/2020 13:03

@xoxochellexoxo Aw that's fab! I had an early scan too and also string heart beat so that's good!

I'm taking folic acid everyday (except for the odd day when I forget!) and I started taking them at night time. However today I remembered I didn't take one last night. So I took one this morning, and I think they're making me feel sick? As I've been fine for a week now. Too. A folic said earlier and all of a sudden feeling sick again! So that's a thought for the sickness guys! Try taking them at night see if it helps! @olivetreemumtobe @Blughbablugh @Blughbablugh @Luckyelephant1 @Ruthio111 @fib11235 @Extraslice @AlexandraB2021

@Luckyelephant1 it was over the phone.

Luckyelephant1 · 30/11/2020 15:26

Thanks @Blughbablugh was just curious to see how it happens in different trusts! I've just had mine over the phone too.

Extraslice · 30/11/2020 15:35

Going to try that tonight @ChloeR12.
@xoxochellexoxo how exciting you have yours on Christmas Eve too! I am so nervous but will be so nice to announce it on Christmas Day. Not telling dd yet so plan to give it her as a present from Santa 🥰 she had been asking all year for a brother or sister Grin

xoxochellexoxo · 30/11/2020 16:08

@Extraslice its a lovely christmas present for me as its taken us so long to conceive. My parther has a DD from his previous marriage who we have full custody of and she is 14, she was over the moon for us and is looking forward to being a big sister

Extraslice · 30/11/2020 16:15

@xoxochellexoxo that’s lovely! It feels ages away doesn’t it??!

xoxochellexoxo · 30/11/2020 16:19

@Extraslice your right it does feel ages away iv had my appointments in place since the 27th october and it honestly feels like iv been pregnant for ages 🤣, i have my booking in next tues and thankfully its a face to face so i feel il be able to understand everything more and then will only have 2 weeks to wait

Luckyelephant1 · 06/12/2020 14:48

So... How is everyone feeling? I'm 9+1 today and have gone from having not too many symptoms, to feeling a lot more nauseous and rough. I fainted in the shower the other day (not full on collapse, but nearly, then I was sick and had to lie down for a couple of hours). Food aversions are so weird, one minute I'll fancy something but as soon as its prepared I will have changed my mind and only manage a few bites! I'd feel bad about wasting food but luckily my husband is a human dustbin 😂

Had my booking apt on the phone and bloods/urine taken this week, and I have a 10 week private scan on the 15th so counting down the days till then! Hope you're all doing well.
