How far pregnant do I look from the picture?

I've been told my bump looks too small for my dates... starting to freak me out a bit!

My bump was about 28/29 weeks at this point....

We all grow differently though Op, the size of your bump doesn’t mean the baby will be big/ small. My DS had a tiny bump and she had a 9lber... it means nothing.

I had a tiny bump and mine were between 5-6lbs

How many weeks are you?

Changedmynameagain1 · 29/11/2020 19:51

Also from 28 weeks the midwife will measure your bump, so if any concerns it will be flagged.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 29/11/2020 19:58

I would say 20-25 weeks but it would depend on which pregnancy you are on.

Picture with the pink bag - I was 22 weeks pregnant with DD1

Picture with no bag - I was 20 weeks with DD2

Both bumps roughly the same size by the end but I popped out much earlier with DD2. Both 8lb babies.

I'm 20 weeks! But have been told a few times I look more like 12 weeks... I've had scans and all was fine, just makes me worry a little as daughter was smaller weight when she was born.

I had no bump at all at 12 weeks with either of my DDs. Hmm

Me neither! Just keep being told I look smaller than 5 months pregnant. Ahh well maybe I just need to ignore the comments and relax a little

Your bump looks slightly bigger than mine and I’m 22 weeks Smile I’m on my second pregnancy. Tbh, I’m just very happy not to have a major bump at this point!

Ok well that does reassure me!
I had the comment the other day "you just look like you've eaten a big dinner" 🤷‍♀️

I had no bump until at least 20 weeks, every time. I usually ended up measuring 5 weeks behind but had larger than average babies (close to 9lb). Everyone is different, don't worry unless you're told by the Drs there's something wrong.

luxxlisbon · 29/11/2020 20:08

Who told you that looks like 12 weeks?? I would ignore them, they clearly have no idea what they are talking about. Many people have almost no bump at 12 weeks.

Babies and bumps are all different sizes.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 29/11/2020 20:13

I usually think people with ‘bumps’ at

User0ne · 29/11/2020 20:28

Grin I still fitted into my jeans at 12 weeks with dc3. Ignore them. Loads of people comment on bump size but unless it's a midwife with a tape measure or a sonographer at a scan they don't know what they're talking about.

88bowie · 29/11/2020 20:30

Just taken now 20+1 dump comes and goes hardly have anything in the morning and as day goes on dump comes out, still feel as I just have a lockdown tummy lol, don't think I popped with DS until min 24 weeks, all bumps are different all women carry different

I was gonna say around 20 weeks then saw your update 😁 I was huge by 26 weeks, like full term huge for some people

Harehopper234 · 30/11/2020 21:26

OP your bump is lovely! 🙂 I've had comments all the way through my pregnancy, coming up 29 weeks and my bump is still no bigger than yours. I see the midwife this week and unless she thinks my bump is too small I won't be worrying myself over what others think! Enjoy being able to see your feet for a bit longer 😆

Moandy · 02/12/2020 15:41

I think you are more than fine! I'm 17 weeks with my second and have no bump at all

unmarkedbythat · 02/12/2020 15:43

I wouldn't hazard a guess, my bumps have looked different in every pregnancy and all my friends and relatives who have been pregnant have had such variations- you could be any stage at all. I don't think bump size indicates much anyway, I was bloody enormous at term with my first and he weighed just 7lb 11oz!

littleharissa · 02/12/2020 15:54

Ignore everyone.

I was your size at 40 weeks. Still had a 9lb baby

Olive1701 · 02/12/2020 15:54

Everybody is so different! I keep getting told I don’t look pregnant and I’m 22 weeks. Deffo have a bump but think it’s well covered this time of year

Mynotsoperfectlittlefamily · 02/12/2020 16:01

I had no bump at 20 weeks with all three. You could not tell I was pregnant at all. So you definitely aren't too small. My first was 8lb8 and second was 7lb6.
