Left sided back pain - help!

Hi all, I’m 24 weeks and I have developed left sided upper back pain, it goes from a dull ache to a throbbing pain and started over the past 2-3 weeks, it’s definitely getting gradually worse - I know I should probably call my GP tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? The only time it doesn’t hurt is when I’m walking, there’s no comfortable position when I’m sat or laying down atm. Has anyone got tips, I’ve tried hot water bottles with little success.
Thanks in advance

Is it like someone is pushing down sharply behind your ribs? I've had this in both pregnancies. V uncomfortable but totally normal I'm afraid. It does lessen when baby goes head down and drops a bit. For me it's having a short upper body and tall babies I think. Just be aware pain in the same place in the front of your ribs can be normal or can be a symptom of pre- eclampsia. Personally I wouldn't bother the doctor but call your midwife first

Yes it is like that! That’s reassuring that its normal - I do have a short upper body as well ha! I didn’t even think of pre-eclampsia tbh, I’ll give my MW a call tomorrow!! Thanks for the reply Omg35 X
