Feel like I'm tempting fate by posting so early but I'll chance it Grin.

Almost 6 wks with DC 3. Ds1 was a very quick natural delivery, so it came as a surprise when DD had the cord wrapped around her neck and we had a very dramatic emergency c section. All ended well in the end!

I'll be 41.5 at my due date if everything continues to plan. We live in a rural location and older DC's school is half an hour drive away. Ideally I would not have another c section - it would be incredibly inconvenient not being able to drive for 6 weeks with your rural location.

I am assuming being older and having the last c section, there will low chance of them allowing me a natural birth. I would however like to push for it.

Anyone have similar experience. If so, how does one request it/push for it.

I had 2 vbacs after Cs. Was expecting to have to push the first time but consultant agreed trying for vbac was best too. Talk to them you might be surprised.

Were you on the right side of 40 @mumdiva99? Do you know if this makes any difference? Do they give you tight leash so to speak in terms of labour length or any potential risks?

Thank you

@kmini I was 38 when I had my last.

I think the fact that you had a successful Labour already, it is safest to have a v birth in most situations. The fact that your circumstances of having the section were not likely to happen again will all go in your favour. Just talk to them.
