Miscarriage

Hi everyone,

I had a miscarriage 3 weeks ago. I 'was' 12 weeks pregnant however this was never confirmed on a scan as they had to rearrange due to COVID and I had to rearrange as my sons nursery thought he had COVID.

Anyway at 11+6 I started bleeding: I lost a lot of large clots and went to EPU where they said I had to be nil by mouth in case I needed surgery. When I was scanned everything had 'passed'

It's been just over three weeks now, I bled for around 2 weeks fairly heavy then to a period now all I get is brown discharge with streaks of blood. More than the usual day to say discharge. It's not smelly or anything but should I still be having this 3 weeks on?

Im so sorry this happened. My understanding is it can last 3 ish weeks.

Have you checked to see if you are testing negative yet? If not, after 3 weeks you should call the EPU as it likely means theres stuff still retained in your body and you may need medical intervention.

Wishing you all the best x

Sorry this has happened, I miscarried Fri night at 11 & 2 weeks.
From the friends over spoken to since, one bled for 6 weeks, another for 4 weeks so yes I think it might take some time for our bodies to return to normal.
Do remember to take a pregnancy test, they advised me in 3 weeks time.
Sending you Flowers

Thank you for your reply, I've just spoke to EGU and because I have had a negative pregnancy test they aren't too worried. Said leave it another week. If at any point it's smelly then call back sooner otherwise ring back in another week.
