Hello..bit of a specific question!

I had a csection 5 weeks ago and still a bit sore and recovering...due to a whole host issues im pumping and formula feeding with occasional nursing

It hadn't even occurred to me until now to think about when the dreaded first period might arrive and nobody has mentioned it.

For you mamma's out there, what can I expect?

It can vary depending on how much you are pumping, and luck. I bf and didn't have a period for over a year, a friend who also bf got hers after 6 weeks. If you're pumping the majority of your babies milk, there's a good chance it won't restart for a while.

For me, when it did return the first few were heavier than usual, but at 16 months pp are now back to normal.

Mine arrived as soon as I stopped pumping at 9 weeks , the first one was absolutely hideous to be honest but the second wasn't as bad . They settled back into routine after about 4 months o think .

It's very individual. I got mine back at 6 weeks and 10 weeks with mine. I was exclusively breastfeeding both times

I pumped for around 12 weeks after my first and had my first period a month after stopping.
It really varies hugely between women though.
