Baby tapping in one spot for a long while

Hi Ladies,

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this, i'm 6 months and can feel the baby move a lot. However sometimes i notice it feels like tapping or a strong hearbeat just on one spot and this continues for about 10-15 minutes before it stops. Even if i move around they continue in the same spot and come every two seconds. Could this be hiccups or something else? I'm worried the baby might be distressed.

God I remember feeling that way I was so scared like yourself I called my midwife and she said hiccups my boy done it every day 3 times a day at least ! He would do it a while after I had any dairy I didn’t think any thing of it then when he came out he would hiccup really hard for ages after his bottle turns out he had a really strong intolerance to dairy and soya ! Still does and he’s 2 but most baby’s don’t hiccup for that reason so don’t worry about that ! Just though I’d share my story xx

I was on monitoring last week and it was a nice heart beat which then was over took by the loudest constant tapping noise which turned out to be hiccups the other ladies in DAU were laughing.

@Babyjune21@emma911030 thank you both for sharing your experiences, it’s just what I needed to hear. I now look forward to when it happens because I’m not sat worrying about it so appreciate every little hiccup
