Cold & Flu remedies whilst pregnant??

My nose is completly blocked and no matter how many times i blow it, its still blocked. Not getting much sleep as cant breath through my nose and breathing through my mouth is giving me a coughing fit.

Have tried Vix Vapour Rub on chest, back and under nose. Inhaling Vix mixed with steamy hot water. Nothing is working.

Any advice girls? I just need to sleep [sad)

Don´t think there is anything tbh - but I´m sure someone will be able to advise. Just wanted to post to say I´m 14 wks pregnant and have the same thing as you. It´s taken a week but I´m beginning to be able to breathe now.

a hot toddy ... lemon juice, honey, cloves and hot water (if you feel really bad can add a tot of dark rum if you don't mind a bit of alcohol too)

When I had a heavy cold while pg, my pharmacist recommended sterimar sea water spray. It's basically salt water in a pressurised container and you spray a small amount up each nostril. apparently the salt water helps dissolve the mucous. It's not a miracle cure but I did find that it helped. It says on the can that it is suitable for pg women. I also use it on my baby and it seems to work better than saline drops.
