I’m 9 weeks+3 days along and still pretty much flat. Should I be worried?
I’m going to add that I’m pretty much skinny almost underweight.

I started showing around 18/19 weeks, we went away for our first wedding anniversary & I took some trousers with me, couldn't fasten them, we had to go to the nearest Mothercare to buy some maternity ones.

I'm 22 weeks today and only really just showing in the last week. I'm fairly slim so would have expected to show sooner but this is obviously just how I carry. I've only gained 2lbs total too and am eating well. Think everyone is different so try not to worry (easier said than done I know - I had a nightmare other night where my baby was born really small and I was feeding him with a bottle but he was shrinking in front of my eyes. It was very distressing so clearly I do worry about but trying not to as all my scans etc show he's doing well) xx

Slight bump/curve that could be perceived as bloating at 15 weeks. Definite pump at 18/19

Really don't worry! My friend has a lovely figure like yours and she popped about 20 weeks x

MsHedgehog · 27/11/2020 00:32

I'm 21 weeks with my first.

My body shaped changed when I was around 10 weeks, in that my hips and waist spread out, but I only started showing a bump around 18/19 weeks, and even then, it looked like a chubby belly rather than a bump!

Now it looks more round like a bump!

If this is your first pregnancy, you will not be showing as early as 9 weeks!

ParkheadParadise · 27/11/2020 00:37

With dd1 I only had a small bump.
With dd2 I didn't find out until I was 5 months pregnant. Due to other circumstances, I lost weight when pregnant. At 9 months I was in size12 clothes. After she was born I ended up a size 6/8. I'm now back to a healthy size 12.

Lozz22 · 27/11/2020 00:54

Think the first pic is 5 weeks. The second pic is definitely 7 weeks. I started showing pretty quickly although it was my 4th Pregnancy (no Babies though) everyone thought I was expecting twins. Only one Baby on my reassurance scan though.

Rtmhwales · 27/11/2020 01:32

I barely had a bump at 31 weeks when I delivered. I hadn't even told work yet I was pregnant because they hadn't noticed (not in the UK where you have to inform work).

Suzi888 · 27/11/2020 01:50

I was five months pregnant, skinny pre baby. Didn’t matter what I ate! As long as you are eating healthily, I can’t see a problem. Speak to your GP perhaps, as you seem worried.
CongratulationsSmile on the pregnancy.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 27/11/2020 02:02

I had a proper bump around 28 weeks. Carried small throughout whole pregnancy. Had to go for growth scans. Baby was born a completely average 7lb 4. Don’t worry op. Congratulations

ellentree · 27/11/2020 02:12

With my first I could see the bump from about 15 weeks (though between 6-10 there was bloating!). Probably nearer 28 weeks until randoms would have thought I was pregnant though. Never had a big bump with my first.

PFin · 27/11/2020 02:33

No you have no need to worry. My first i was very skinny verging on underweight and I didnt have a bump until nearly 20 weeks. This time round im 16 weeks now and its like ny bump has came out of no where.

Livingmagicallyagain · 27/11/2020 05:21

On my 4th pregnancy and even then didn't show at 9 weeks. This time I've a number at 20 weeks, it started around week 14. First time, it started to show at 22-24 weeks.

40weekswithno2 · 27/11/2020 05:48

Your uterus is still in your pelvis at 9 weeks. No one has a bump at that stage, possibly bloating but not a baby bump.
With my first I had a bump around 19 weeks and my second around 16 weeks - only noticeable to me and my dh though. It would have taken a couple more weeks on top of that for others to notice.

Graphista · 27/11/2020 06:02

I was a size 6-8 before dd (normal for my family I love my food) and I didn't show at all until around week 20...and then I exploded! Grinpeople genuinely asked if it were twins as I was "all bump" an ex colleague saw me in the bank from behind and when I turned around they damn near fell over! Grin

Everyone carries different, my sister was showing very prominently from just 10 weeks and she's on plumper side compared to me
