Cyclizine for sickness

I was wondering if anyone could share experiences, I've bit the bullet today as my sickness is unbearable, it's morning noon and night and I can focus on nothing, has anyone had any positive experience with this helping? X

Hi @AnxiousAnnie86, I'm in the middle of HG at the moment so I totally feel your pain!
I found that cyclizine on its own didn't do much for me, although I know several people that it worked really well for, so i guess I'm just unlucky! The hospital has put me on ondansetron to take alongside the cyclizine and that combination seems to be taking the edge off the nausea, at least enough for me to be able to eat a little bit.

Take care of yourself and try and keep hydrated - this is such a tough time and morning sickness is the WORST.

@AnxiousAnnie86 I was prescribed them at 13 weeks as I was "missing too much work" in my bosses eyes

I've found them to be extremely helpful with morning sickness
I was advised to take them when I felt horrendous as I was only prescribed 32 tablets & if I needed more I would have to have a consultation

But yes , I stand by them 100% for sickness

@MyBabyBoyBlue thank you! It truly is terrible, I cannot think about anything else, I cried this morning as I just can't do another day of it, I feel totally useless I'm helping my husband with nothing at all and feel like I'm ignoring my daughter I just want to sleep all the time as it's the only thing that helps!

@kirstenn123 I really hope it has the same effect for me!!!

I've got a scan tonight I'm praying all is well and it makes all this feel worth it x

@AnxiousAnnie86 I'm right there with you, feel so useless. I cried to my husband that I cant do another day of it either, but the meds really are taking the edge off enough for me not to be crying all the time!! Small victories, but ill take it! Good luck for your scan later, it'll feel so wonderful to see that tiny baby on the screen xx

I also bit the bullet this week! Constant nausea since 6 weeks. I’m 14 weeks now and I really tried to avoid it as I’ve been dubious about taking tablets if I could help it. I got the tablets this week and they are a lifesaver! I did find that they made me feel very tired and spaced out (even just one) which I didn’t like so I’ve been taking half a tablet as and when needed and I find that helps with the sickness but doesn’t make me tired. I’m actually annoyed with myself for not getting them sooner. I’m hoping in the next few weeks the nausea will subside anyway but I was so fed up!

@Nat4392 oh my goodness, the spaced out feeling!! I found it so much more intense through the IV and freaked out when they gave it to me and it git within five minutes. Didn't like the feeling at all, especially on top of the nausea. Thankfully, I conked out ten minutes after that Blush
