Hey guys,

So I'm totally new to this whole pregnancy and it's super early I'm only 5 weeks!

Today I've had hardly any pregnancy symptoms despite feeling sick and headaches for the last 7 days....so I did the bad thing of googling! Now I'm totally stressed out and thinking the worst! Any advice?

How are you feeling now Firsttime?

Congratulations OP - I remember how worrying a time it can be and was a massive over Googler!! With my first, symptoms would come and go and with my second, I had no symptoms whatsoever really so it a lack of symptoms doesn't mean something is wrong. I booked an early scan second time around, just to put my mind at rest and break up the wait til 12 weeks. Can't say it totally stopped the worry but it helped a bit. I would try and enjoy feeling well whilst you can (know that's much easier said than done though) and speak to a friend or partner if you can to share the load and try take your mind of it a bit.

@JiltedJohnsJulie - I've got a headache which has been one of my main symptoms but not sure if that's because I've stressed myself out so much lol!

@Hurryupbaby11
Thanks! I'm sure I'm just worrying too much! It's my first and have been trying for such a long time that I'm just being anxious

Congratulations! Im almost 7 weeks with my second and im exactly the same, im so anxious today even though logically things seem to be okay, wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy

Twinkle1989 · 25/11/2020 14:44

@firsttimemumm31 I'm 4+1 today and I'm exactly the same!
I'm stressing about massively! I read a headline that 70% of pregnancies end in MC so I've been in bits. I then spoke to the midwife when booking my apps in and she said for my age it was 10% which massively reduces at 12 weeks which has massively put my mind at ease.
I have booked an early scan at 8 weeks to try and help too!
It's so hard and I totally understand - remember, google is not your friend 😭 xxx

@Twinkle1989 it's so good to hear I'm not the only one freaking out! I feel so silly but because I haven't told anyone yet I can't exactly talk freely about it! I'm staying away from google from now on for sure! X

Losing symptoms isn’t a sign of anything wrong. Lots of women who have lost pregnancies have continued to have symptoms for a couple of weeks. I know it’s hard especially in the first weeks but try not to worry and google is not a friend in pregnancy

firsttimemumm31 · 25/11/2020 15:35

@Oneandabean Thanks for the reassurance really appreciate it. I'm just going to take each day as it comes and hope for the best! I don't think not being able to see anyone during the lockdown has helped! 🤦🏻‍♀️ xx oh and I'll stay away from google!
