Hi I am 5 weeks today and got a positive result a week ago (and did another last night which was strong positive). For over a week I have constantly had aches, pains, cramps and a kind of heavy feeling. In a range of areas in my lower abdomen. Mostly mild, sometimes moderate but nothing severe and no bleeding - but still freaking me out. Has anyone else has this?

Yes I had this. I was constantly worrying about it too - google was not my friend! It was just everything stretching out and preparing for baby. I had an early private scan at 7 weeks to rule out ectopic pregnancy as a lot of my pain was low down on the left. Everything was fine and baby was in the right place. I’m now 20 wks.

Hello, I had lots of aches/pains/cramps in early pregnancy too.

It was all fine for me and I’m 21 weeks now.

Thanks, it's reassuring to hear others have had similar experiences. I need to try and stop overthinking everything - it's hard not too!

It's perfectly normal, OP and far from being worrying, is in fact often a sign that everything is doing what it's supposed to. Everything is stretching and growing and blood flow to the area has increased, causing cramps that often feel like period pains. The sensations you describe have always been among the first signs of pregnancy for me in all of my four pregnancies. Congratulations!
