This might sound like a silly question but how do you make your bottles?
I’m confused, if you make the bottle with boiling water and you’re meant to feed straight away then what’s the point of the bottle warmer?

Oh gosh! How did I not know all this! I had no idea you could keep bottles for 24 hours!!! I read once made use within the hour, but I guess that’s once began feeding the bottle because of bacteria? But untouched bottles can be saved? You lot have saved my sleep deprived body! Haha Thankyou

@40weekswithno2
I’m guessing current guidelines are make as and when needed?

You can also use bottle warmers to heat up premade formula when you have a bottle open in the fridge.

The reason you can leave a bottle of premade in the fridge and not powder made is that the premade is pasturised. You will never get rid of 100% of the bacteria when preparing formula at home so any formula you leave in the bottle will have some bacteria that can grow.

It’s shit because the effort required to make formula to the instructions on the box are time consuming that’s why so many use the perfect prep machine. I’m sure that those are also not without faults but you’ll prise mine out of my cold dead hands.
