What does "quickening" feel like?

Hi, this is the furthest along I've been in pregnancy and I'm 15.5 weeks. I'm wondering if I'm imagining things but I have this strange feeling in my abdomen. It feels like a gentle twisting. It also feels a bit like the tingling sensation after you have pins and needles. Is it too early to feel the quickening and am I just imagning things?

I felt my first baby moving at 14 weeks. The midwife dismissed it as impossible, but the 'bubbles' just got stronger and stronger.. it was DD1!
(second baby I didn't feel til 22 weeks.. but exactly the same feeling like little bubbles popping inside) No 3 had a front lying placenta so I didn't feel her move for ages

I felt my first baby at 14.5 weeks. I would describe it like a goldfish flipping over in a mug.

fluttering inside - first felt at 19weeks. (though OH was able to feel them sooner from the outside obviously. I 'm not sure why I didn't realise what it was).

Little taps

Thank you, that's really helpful. It's certainly a strange feeling and one I've not had before. I guess only time will tell if it happens again.

The first movements felt like butterfly wings in your belly.

I first felt my baby move at 16 weeks. It felt like someone was tapping low down inside me

Iv been feeling little prods and what I would describe as I know movements, the further you go the more you know and can recognise them :)

This is my 3rd and I'm 16+4 today

It sounds like you’re feeling the baby move OP! I started feeling movement at 17 weeks and I couldn’t describe it, it just felt like nothing I’d ever felt before. And it feels different at different times (sometimes popping, sometimes rolling, sometimes like butterflies). Now at 20 weeks and proper little kicks are happening - it won’t be long

Thanks everyone
