Has anybody had the glucose test at 28 weeks during Covid. My midwife mentioned it was different than before, just wondering how it works now exactly? Thank you ☺️

I had it done twice during my recent pregnancy. It's just a blood test now although you need to fast before. No more sugary drink and sitting around for 2 hours like before.

Most places are still doing the sugary drink test as it’s much more accurate than the blood test. I had mine at 28 weeks - first appointment at 9 where they drew blood and gave me the drink, then was sent away and told to return in 2 hours for the second blood test. I’m glad they did it because my result was so borderline it wouldn’t have been picked up by the blood test alone, but I definitely have GD!

I had mines two weeks ago and they had reverted back to the original format with sickly drink and two hour wait.
