I've been for my 34 week growth scan this afternoon and baby has dropped ever so slightly in growth which they are keeping an eye on but the sonographer said there is an increase in fluid around the baby, the midwife and consultant I saw afterwards didn't say anything about it, consultant went on about baby being breech and I've now gone from being scanned every 3 weeks to doppler one week then growth the next. The thing that struck me the most was the consultant said "I see your previous 3 pregnancies were normal deliveries but if baby hasn't turned next time I see you then you will have to have a cesarean" I next see him at 36 weeks, does what he said mean he is worried about the fluid and they plan on delivering early or is it a slip of the tongue so to speak. For a little clarification I have SGA babies with this one currently just hitting the 10th centile whereas he was just above it 3 weeks ago and my amniotic fluid index was 21.8cm whereas when I read online it says it should be around 14cm for 34 weeks.
I guess I'm just looking to see if the fluid is only a little or a lot excessive than average and what can they do about it x
