Hello,
I'm 29weeks pergnant with baby nr2 and because my 1st daughter was born in the 6th percentile I had been referred to a consultant. I had a growth scan last week and this baby is just below the 10th percentile. Doctor said she could be a small but healthy baby like her sister. They will keep her inside as long as she is growing but if she starts to fall below the percentile line, we have to consider an early labour.
I'll have a scan every 4weeks from now.
Has anyone been in a similar situation and what happened?
Thanks

I haven't but my cousin has. She said she got loads of scans to check the growth and she was terrified, but the baby was born naturally at full term and was healthy but a little small.

I think there is a good chance it will all be fine, some babies are just small. They will just want to keep a close eye so that if the situation deteriorates they can step in and help the baby, possibly by delivering early.

Going through this these days. I am almost 35 weeks and the baby was very small at 32 weeks scan. I have been told I would have an induction around 37/38 weeks. Have another scan this Friday to check on growth and decide on induction. Extremely scary for a FTM like me.
