Sore csection scar

I’m pregnant with my 3rd child & went for a scan today & sonographer was putting quiet a lot of pressure on my csection scar (2 previous sections). Since I’ve been home it’s extremely sore & just noticed a very slight bit of blood.
I did tell her it’s sore please don’t press hard but she didn’t really care what I had to say 😬
Will it be okay? Or do I need to speak to someone

If there's blood you definitely need to speak to someone, if it's splitting that's not great. How far along are you?

Mumofoneandanotherontheway · 23/11/2020 21:42

Garman I’m 19weeks

I'd give your midwife a call in the morning, if the bleeding gets worse tonight though I'd call someone sooner.

Mumofoneandanotherontheway · 23/11/2020 21:48

Thank you Garman I will do. Hopefully there’s no more, last thing I need right now

I'd call now I'm afraid. Don't wait.

Your scar can abrupt with pressure of pregnancy but if it's bleeding externally, you don't know what's happening internally.

I'd also call now. Scar rupture is a very real risk after previous c sections and a full rapture could result in maternal death. Don't risk it.

rottiemum88 · 23/11/2020 22:28

Rupture even!

This has shit me up.

Hope you’ve been checked and are okay, OP.

This happened to me last week too.. Iv had 2 previous csections. The last one was almost 4 years ago. After an early scan last week at 7 weeks it was sore and had tiny bit of blood. Its fine now though.

Thank you for the replies, really means a lot. I called triage first thing this morning and they said as there been no blood since to just keep an eye & if pain gets unbearable or any other worries I should go straight in.
Mind wasn’t at ease so called me GP who is going to check it at 230.
It’s abit weird I don’t know if it’s in my mind but I feel like I can smell an infection, as I’ve had 2 opened wounds with my previous 2 csections and had a infection

Let’s see what she says.
mums2boys glad to hear it’s better now Flowers

Fingers crossed it's all fine.

I saw my gp yesterday who said there’s no sign of infection, opening, rupture. Just extremely sore and I should apply a fair amount of Sudocream or Savlon on the area as the weight of my stomach is not helping that area (I have a overhang after my first csection, then second added to it)
Not been feeling sore since last, after putting sudocream.
Will make it a point on my next scan though not to press hard in that area x
