Piles in pregnancy

Sorry if this post is a bit tmi but I really need some advice.
I’m in my 3rd trimester and have developed a huge pile and it’s so uncomfortable and painful.
Went to my doctor and he basically told me that I’ll have to live with it and it’ll probably get better once I’ve had the baby. But that is over 8 weeks away!
Has anyone else experienced this and did they get better? And what treatments did you use?
I’ve been using anusol cream but it doesn’t seem to be helping.

I have! I could not sleep they were so painful a couple of weeks ago. I ended up taking paracetamol and that helped, nothing else made any difference. You have my sympathy as they are awful Sad

Different otc creams have different effects. I had horrid piles in my last pregnancy & the gp suggested that I tried preparation h. It's less medicated but more soothing. Was really helpful. Also payed attention to my diet - plenty of fluids and extra fibre. He recommended prune juice mixed with orange juice (to make it more palatable). Things definitely improved post birth.

Thanks i’ve been taking paracetamol and will try a different cream. I never knew they could get this bad during pregnancy with all the extra weight of baby. I’m just hoping things might improve before baby comes out.

Suffering in the third trimester over here too so you have my deepest sympathies! Have you tried the suppository ones from anusol? I find them a bit more helpful than just the cream and also, suffered horrendously with my last pregnancy and got told to fill a rubber glove with water, tie it and pop in the freezer and take out for soothing as and when needed! Hope you find some comfort soon!

Germoloids is much better than Anusol, i found any way as it has Licodane in so stronger pain relief element, mine has thrombosed its horrible.
