Second pregnancy, huge bump!

Is anyone else so much bigger with their second? I’m 16 weeks and bigger then I was with my daughter at 30 weeks. I did carry small with her but I can’t believe the difference! I weighed exactly the same at the start of this pregnancy as I did at the start of hers so expected a similar bump but I was very wrong. Please tell me I’m not alone, I feel like an elephant!

19 weeks and I've been in maternity clothes since 10 weeks 😂. I didn't carry my first small but even this is a new level of crazy

I was huge with my 2nd, turned out it was a huge baby!!

TBH it's because your tummy muscles are knackered by the first Sad

Yup, I'm hating how big I am this pregnancy. Found a picture of me at the same point last pregnancy and I was a third of the size. Last pregnancy I was desperate for a bigger bump - my poor body can't win!

With my second pregnancy (first was a whole other story), I looked like I was approaching birth after six months!
I had a huge bump. To be fair, baby was 9 pounds when born, so not tiny, but I did put weight on - it was all around the middle.
Given that I had a lot of pregnancy nausea and found grazing helped, it's no surprise- and I did lose the weight fairly quickly.
I know it's not considered fashionable to gain a lot of weight in pregnancy, but I went along the lines of if my body needed, I had it.
I'd advise you to go with the flow - you're body is doing what it needs to.

I am absolutely massive at 6 weeks, I am already looking like I did at 4 months with baby number 1. This is my fourth pregnancy, if my mum sees me she will know straightaway as I usually have a flat tummy.

I got bigger quicker with this one but have actually been smaller after about half way through. I think you show sooner because your muscles are looser but it doesn't mean you'll be bigger the whole way through

I am the same. Was noticeably pregnant by about 8weeks and obvious bump but now I'm nearly 29wks and bump looks smaller than with my first.

Yep. Bigger bump much earlier in my second pregnancy but it evened out by the end to be roughly the same size. DD1 and 2 were only 4oz different in weight (DD2 was the lightest).
