Heartbeat at 5+4??

I had a scan at epu today and tiny dot's heart was beating 99bpm. By lmp I'm 5+4 which seems too early to see a heartbeat? By ovulation I'm 6weeks, can three days really make that much difference?

Hi OP, I think it really can. I had an early scan a few weeks ago at around 5+3 and it was too early to hear a heartbeat. The team said that had I been there just a few days later, they would have found one. I’m due back in this week (2 weeks on) for a follow up. So yes I’d say since they are changing and growing so much at this stage, even a few days is huge. All the best for you pregnancy x
