This has played on my mind a little. I went for my 12wk scan but they said as I was 11+5 they wanted to book me in for when I was definitely 12wks. We had one 2 wks later and they dated it as 13wks+1. I've got no idea why as it doesn't look like others have had this. I've had all the test results for things and everything is fine. Currently waiting for the anomaly scan.

I've read loads on here about people just having the 1 scan if they're even just at 11wks?

Do you you think it's just hospital policy or something?

It'll most likely just be policy that you needed to be 12 weeks 100%.
Ask if you're worried.

I had what I thought would be my 12 week scan in the middle of November. Got there, they scanned me and I was only 9 weeks so they've rebooked me in for 3 weeks later. My dates don't match up though but I was assured everything was fine. Must have ovulated later than I thought.

I wouldn't worry you just get to see your baby twice :)

Did they measure nuchal on first scan ( if your choosing the combined screening) if not will be because baby was too small to accurately measure this

BibbityBabbityBoo · 22/11/2020 13:07

@Honeydukesmum yeah it was a combined nuchal test, and the downs & edwards testing. But everywhere I've read says that can be done from 11 weeks. I'm sure it's OK they would have said if things weren't just twiddling my thumbs and waiting for the anomaly scan which gives you time to wonder... it's sooooo long inbetween scans Brew

We opted to not have the screening.

Honeydukesmum · 22/11/2020 13:15

I was seen at 11 plus 1 but like you rebooked to 13 weeks. They couldn’t get a easy measurement at the lower end of the screening period. I had the NIPT between already booked ( personal choice ) and low risk from both x they definitely would say if any concerns .. hope your wait to anomaly speeds by for you too x

I think it's NHS policy - they only do the combined test 11+6 to 13+6 so probably wanted though further along to be sure of everything

@ivfbeenbusy ah fantastic thanks

@Honeydukesmum thank you 😊
