Hi all, am 8 weeks and feeling terrible. Starting to feel desperate and wondering if this is normal.....
I have been in bed for a week, I can’t do ANYTHING, constantly feel nauseous, vomit this disgusting acid tasting stuff, can’t eat (I am forcing myself to eat 1 thing a day slice of bread, rich tea etc), I’m tired, can get dizzy and sometimes get the chills. I’m trying to drink but tbh I’m not thirsty and I mostly try to sleep this off so only drink when I remember. I’m so fed up of this. Dr has prescribed Cyclizine which is doing fa

Totally normal! I didn't have this with first pregnancy at all but now 21 weeks pregnant with second and from 6 weeks until 13 weeks I felt awful! Threw up most food, barely ate, could only tolerate a few sips of water and just felt so weak. It does get better, I know everyone says it but it does... carry on with the Cyclizine, it takes a few days to work! Good luck xx

I don't think it's normal to be feeling that sick. Keep going with your medicine and if no improvement ask to try something. Also I'm not sure it it would be worth having something like dioralyte incase you're quite dehydrated? Hope you feel better soon

What I meant by ' that sick' was it's normal to feel nauseous and vomit but don't think it's normal to be unable to eat, feeling dizzy and getting chills x

Urgh yes mine started around 7 weeks but I'm now 11 weeks and have made it out the house for the past 2 days to go to the park with my toddler and have even managed to cook. At week 8 I couldn't imagine doing these things again! I also started taking cyclizine as in previous pregnancy and as previous poster says you really need to take the full dose a few days before it makes any difference. I hope you feel better soon xx

I could have written this. I'm 7+5 weeks and throwing up daily despite taking cyclizine (although I am at least now sleeping through the night without waking up with nausea) I'm exhausted to the point where I fell asleep on the sofa, having walked into town and back this morning and I'm so bloody cold!! I was on the sofa last night wearing thermal trousers, two pairs of socks, a vest and long sleeved t shirt, dungarees, two jumpers and a blanket with the fire lit and I still felt cold. Most of the time I don't feel like I can even read to my 2 year old. It feels utterly ridiculous. I'm planning to phone the GP on Tuesday if I'm still vomiting as I'll have been on the cyclizine for a week at that stage. Hope you start to feel better soon OP.

Yes! Got it with all 3 of mine from about 7 weeks.
It was like the worst hangover constantly. It's bloody awful so I do sympathise OP.
I really struggled to just get by the day.
It does pass eventually....
