I'm not really really suffering as some on MN clearly are - not throwing up everywhere or rushing to the loo constantly - but I'm really, erm, bunged up. Things just aren't moving as normal and I wondered how long it takes before it'll be ok again. I know that it's the pg hormones slowing everything down at present; do bf hormones do the same? It's just getting me down a bit.... tell me some happy stories, please...

Can't help as haven't had a baby yet but it sounds horrible so I'm bumping you to get some answers! I have had horrible bunged up-ness for years (sorry if tmi), really not fun. I'm sure if you were fine before pregnancy that it won't take long for you to be back to normal again (don't know about bf I'm afraid). Lots of water and try fybogel or something like that. There's also a gentle new version of dulcolax (see I'm an expert ) which is good but not too much of a shock to the system, am sure you don't need any more shocks to the system!

Ive had it for the first time with this preg.

I think lucozade and not going out for a walk everyday has made it so much worse.

Probiotic yoghurt and dried apricots and a 25 mins walk outside everyday have cured it.

As for after well I got left with IBS for two years after a crash section and that was not bunged up it was the other.

Thank you both v. much - I think the keeping moving thing is vital. Heave myself off the sofa.....
