Hi Everyone!

First time poster, long time lurker 🙈

I’m being induced tomorrow @ 38 weeks due to baby’s growth tailing off. This will be my second induction as I was induced with my son too at 40+14. Just looking for some positive stories from woman who have gave birth recently during this horrible time and a wee hand hold really 🙈😂

I can’t wait to meet this wee squishy face but I’m still feeling so nervous!

Thanks ladies ❤️ x

I hope everything goes well for you, OP!! You'll see your little one soon!! Very happy for you!

Sorry...no experience here but I am getting induced in 3 weeks due to a small baby. Would love to hear your experience.

Good luck for your induction! Flowers

I was induced 5 weeks ago for my first baby and you honestly wouldn’t have known we are in the middle of a pandemic. The midwives were amazing, kept me informed, I felt safe and looked after and although I ended up with an emergency c section, everyone was amazing from start to finish. I never once felt scared or worried as they were supporting me each step of the way as was my partner.

You will be amazing! Enjoy those squishy cuddles 😍

Good luck today OP Flowers

Thanks so much everyone for your lovely messages! Going in later on today and fingers crossed it’s all straight forward and quick 😊

@Mummyinlove09 was your partner allowed to leave the room once your were in labour? I keep trying to tell mine that he will need to bring coffee and snacks as I’m unsure he will be able to leave once he’s there xx

I was induced both times and my first was awful but my second, I'd do that again in a heartbeat if I could!

It was like my body knew what to do, and it just took over on my behalf Grin

It was all over in about 2 hours of labour, after having the pessary inserted the day before.

And then of course you get to introduce your babies to each other. That's the best.

Good luck!

Mummyinlove09 · 21/11/2020 10:56

@csttcx unfortunately we were told he wasn’t allowed to leave the room once we were in but to be honest, we were in there for 10 hours and it felt like 2 😄 i think if he had tried to leave I’d have killed him anyways 😂 like you say, just get him to pack plenty of snacks and drinks and he won’t need to leave. Good luck! Xx

I promise I will try and keep everyone updated and share my story once it’s all done and dusted!

@Mummyinlove09 he has been warned 😂😂 I don’t think I can cope with him moaning about coffee and food when I’ve already told him 😂 also congratulations on your new baba 💐❤️ Hope your recovering well Xx

@IncludeWomenInTheSequel this is what I really wanted to hear so thank you! I know it might not be the same for me but I was the same with my first so really hoping the second is so much better 😊 xx

Thanks again for all the lovely messages! You are all helping with the nerves x

How are you doing OP?

csttcx · 22/11/2020 20:07

@IncludeWomenInTheSequel it’s been an absolute nightmare! Told to go in at 9pm last night, got there and they told me they were too busy to take me so I had to go home. This I totally get, if it’s busy it’s busy and I’m not an emergency but wish they called me before i made my way to hospital with all my bags and got childcare in lockdown! I have no idea what’s going to happen now ☹️ Xx

Oh no!! That's so annoying. Yes, they could have phoned you to give you some warning. Poor you! Hope they get you back in soon. Xx

csttcx · 22/11/2020 20:54

@Grumpy19 I know! It’s just one of those things I suppose. Hopefully once I speak to the consultant tomorrow I’ll at least have another date and know when this wee cheeky baby will make an appearance xx

Nonamesavail · 22/11/2020 22:24

Good luck. I hope your baby is here safe and well soon.

IncludeWomenInTheSequel · 22/11/2020 22:28

That is not great!

At least it's a weekday tomorrow so the wards will be back up to full staff and you can hopefully get going.

Another night of sleep in your own bed is kind of a bonus Smile
