yes it is assuming you know the seller
on ebay there is no such thing as a really cheap one incase it's on there

Sheherazadethegoat · 18/10/2007 15:19

sounds like a feck of alot of money for a second hand buggy but not an expert. i expect the huns will be along to help you.

spugs · 18/10/2007 15:22

oo crap dont know the seller, has 100% feedback though! would i be better spending an extra £200 on a brand new one from mothercare

Piffle · 18/10/2007 15:31

top tip
wait til xmas
prices drop then as no one has any money and ebay gets much cheaper...

spugs · 18/10/2007 15:34

prob the best idea, there supposed to be bringing out a newer version as well so they might go down even more. thanks

400 is a about what you pay for any second hand bug cam. I brought new and i've now got a second hand frog. I'd try and get a second hand one to same some money.

Santasmissyontheside · 18/10/2007 15:38

Newer version is out on internet shops. Only some slight changes tbh

Piffle · 18/10/2007 15:40

the brake is one hopefully mine really hacks me off

Santasmissyontheside · 18/10/2007 15:52

Yeah bothered me too. Frog is much better. The website that has it is www.babyboom2000.com.

CarGirl · 18/10/2007 16:01

2nd hand frogs are going really quite cheap on ebay and it seems that there are quite a few people who have owned cam and frog and prefer frog. They range from 200-300 on ebay - go for one local enough to collect!

Santasmissyontheside · 18/10/2007 16:21

You can still use the fleeces etc on frog too. To me it feels sturdy. I'm trying to get the seat/carrycot chassis as that fits on the frog frame.

Piffle · 19/10/2007 10:45

I'd prefer a frog but need the extending handle for the buggyboard as dd 5 has some visual and mobility issues and tires easily...

chunkypudding · 19/10/2007 11:18

I can't wait til xmas in the hope of getting stuff cheap, am due 3rd Jan!!!

and STILL haven't bought a thing. Am getting quite stressed about it all now! Run a company with dp so have little time to think - have also bought a new house and are getting work done on it which HAS to be completed before baby comes...

really think we want a cam based on feedback from friends/mumsnet but just keep fannying about re new/2nd hand/2007 model/2008 model...

don't know if I have enough brain cells left over from work etc!!!!

CarGirl · 20/10/2007 11:38

piffle I used a lascal 3g buggyboard on my frog absolutely no problems can send you a photo if you like. The secret is to attach it to the uprights not the axle bar. Never tried it with the carrycot though.
