How early can you have a scan?

How early can they do an abdominal ultrasound. I know you can have a transvaginal one and sometimes even see the heartbeat by 6 weeks but just wondered about an abdominal one.
I’m about 6.5 weeks and got no symptoms. I was definitely feeling sick by this point with my other two so I’m thinking about booking a private scan just to check things are as they should be in there. I’d prefer to have an abdominal one though...

I had my private one at 7+5 and it was very visible with heartbeat x

The private place I went said they would always do internal before 10 weeks to make sure they got a good image.

I was always worried it would be like a smear test but it was perfect okay, the only time I really noticed pressure was when checking ovaries.

I think I’ve had 6 internals this year

I had one at 6 weeks and saw a heartbeat.

I've only ever had abdominal scans and had them at 6+4 and 6+2 and saw heartbeat, yolk sac, etc.

Thank you. I didn’t realise you could have an abdominal scan so early!

Transvaginal May be 6.5 weeks so you can hear the heartbeat. It could be done earlier but not much to see. 10 weeks if you want abdominal scan

If you don't mind an internal scan the place I went will do them from 6 weeks they only do external if you are 10 weeks or more. That was at window to the womb 🙂
